Connecting to a synthesizer

Hi. Does anyone know if I can connect my Nord Piano 2 to a synthesizer (one without keyboard), via MIDI? So I can play on my Nord and change the effects on a synthesizer. And do you know if it has any benefits? Are there more possibilities with synths?

Yes you can. Just turn down the volume of your Nord kb if you want to hear the sound often synthesizer. I have it hook up to a Roland bk7m.

And for what do you use the Roland? What are the benefits?
