Have they changed the key/hammer action?

Post by snerkler »

Tonight I played on a friend's NP88 and the keys, particularly the blacks, feel different to mine. His key action feels smoother than mine, The keys on mine kind of feel rattly in comparison.
My serial number is PA 12352, his is PA 11487

Cheers

Nord have advised me that they haven't changed the design so is either a case of manufacturing variations, or that mine hasn't bedded in as much. Or could it be a 3rd possibility? At the weekend it was quite humid, and the room where I have my piano set up was very hot and sticky and the keyboard played very much more like my piano tutors. Strange but true. Could it therefore be a case that humidity levels alter the feel of the keyboard? My room is usually very dry.
