Organ Sound

Post by clunk1976 »

Hi folks, just purchased my first Nord - Electro 5 - and naturally i love it!
I need a punchy sound for the organ part on The Coral's Dreaming of You. Can any of you good folks suggest a sound and settings?
Cheers!

Your best bet will be to set one of the parts to Organ and adjust the drawbars until you're close, then adjust f/x, rotary speaker, percussion, vibrato/chorus, etc. until the sound is a match. When you're done you will not only have the sound that you want, but will have much more intimate knowledge of your NE5 and its organ capabilities. Kinda like learning how to fish instead of asking someone to feed you.

Bless,

Pablo

Have you checked the B3 drawbars Settings file in this forum's Downloads section?
You may find what you need in there ;)

I would suggest starting with all 4 of the lower draw are all the way out. Set your overdrive via the Leslie & reverb to taste. You might want to work your ramp speeds up & down while playing. Of course, Pablo is correct, It is more the Nord way to learn your keyboard.
Good luck,
