Polytrix?
Is it some kind of new synthesizer? "Oberheim is proud to introduce the new Polytrix: 128-note polyphony, 4 oscillators, 8 filters, 16 LFOs, 64 simultaneously applicable effects and polyphonic aftertouch.
POLYTRIX: YOU'LL NEVER NEED MORE!!!"
Anyway yes, not much to be happy about politics, but your quote works great for everyday life, not just in music!
Pablo, you're becoming the life coach of the forum!

pablomastodon wrote:The architecture of the Stage and the Lead are radically different. The Lead only has to worry about 18 notes of polyphony. The Stage has a great many more functions to deal with on its plate. I happen to agree that it kinda stinks having PB range limited to +/- 2 on the Stage, and I would really appreciate having extra PB range, but my desires don't trump the engineering realities of the instrument design. There are CPU limitations.

Dear Pablo, I mentioned the LEAD A1, which has 26 notes of Polyphony ! Furthermore, if it's true what you say about the differences, why didn't NORD tell me right away ?? They could only give me three times the same useless answer : "I really can't discuss or make any comments on future products, suggestions or updates, we just have to wait and see." The STAGE 2 is a fantastic instrument which deserves a more flexible pitch bend-range ! I think it can be done.
I believe in balance : Day and Night; Light and Dark; Big and Small; Positive and Negative; Yin & Yang !!

Thanks for your kind words, but I not really trying to be life coach for anyone else. I am as capable of being absent-minded, ignorant, rude, stupid, etc. as anyone. Remembering this helps to give me patience when encountering someone else who is being absent-minded, rude, ignorant...
As for the need for politics, yes...I can concede that it is as necessary as air, water and food, but it's nicer when air, water and food are clean and health-giving. Anyway, probably not a proper topic for this forum...
