Use control pedal to organ swell but only in some program...
Can i use the control pedal as swell pedal just in some programs and not in global mode?
I would like to have the control pedal as swell-organ pedal only on the program 01, and not for all programs.. is it possible?
Thank you

Re: Use control pedal to organ swell but only in some progra
I use my pedal in the control pedal input, not the swell pedal input. This means I can set it to change the organ volume on any program but still use it for other things on other programs. So it isn't a global controller (like if it was in the swell input) but it is assignable for any parameter change (including organ volume) on any program.

Thank you, but, as you know, the swell is'nt just a "volume" control, like the level that you can set with morphing functions. The swell recreates the real volume pedal of the electromechanics organs, and i can feel the difference....spradders wrote:I use my pedal in the control pedal input, not the swell pedal input. No, the pedal assignment settings are Global on the NS2, the "hardware" solution is to have 2 pedals (one for CTRL and the other for Swell)sentiero76 wrote:Can i use the control pedal as swell pedal just in some programs and not in global mode?

I would recommend to plug your pedal into the control pedal input and use the setting Contrl + Swell (if you play organ it than recreates the real volume pedal of an organ)
Look at the System Menu, there are different possibilities for Control Pedal Functions:This setting determines the functionality of a pedal that is attached to the Control Pedal input . The three settings are: Ctrl (use this to use the pedal with the Morph functionality), Ctrl + Swell (combines Morph control and Organ Swell) and Ctrl + Volume (combines Morph control and the main volume of the Stage 2)
If You want to control the volume of the piano or synth section you could morph the section volume.

The problem is that the Ctrl+Swell function would be applied to all Programs, not just to one (which is the request of the OP)tomzi wrote:I would recommend to plug your pedal into the control pedal input and use the setting Contrl + Swell (if you play organ it than recreates the real volume pedal of an organ)

Just use MORPH and you get exactly what you want every time in every program.

Re: Use control pedal to organ swell but only in some progra
He said that he wants the actual Swell effect, not just the ability to control the volume of the Organ Section (the difference is subtle but exists, the swell also changes the harmonics content of the sound, the volume doesn't)pablomastodon wrote:Just use MORPH and you get exactly what you want every time in every program.

.....if the setting is Ctrl + Swell......the behavior of the organ section ist like a real organ, the other two sound sources (Piano and Synth) can be controlled by morphing....

Re: Use control pedal to organ swell but only in some progra
OK, that is well known but you are still missing the question of the OP "I would like to have the control pedal as swell-organ pedal only on the program 01, and not for all programs.. is it possible?" : so, following your suggestion, what if in a Program you want to "Swell" the Organ and in another you want only to "Morph" the Synth section (but not use the Swell) or , last but not least, I don't want the Swell to cause also a Morph of the Synth at the same rate but I want them to be independent?tomzi wrote:.....if the setting is Ctrl + Swell......the behavior of the organ section ist like a real organ, the other two sound sources (Piano and Synth) can be controlled by morphing....
Bottom line Ctrl+Swell settings is useful only if you always have either the Organ Section or the Piano/Synth section active and to be controlled by the pedal, but this is not the OP case (apparently); a Program-level setting of the pedals is what would be needed but it is not available so far in the NS2 firmware (and I doubt it will ever be due to program/firmware memory limitations of NS2)
