Nord Stage EX 88 - low note 'stuck'

Post by lizzard »

Hi, I've got a Nord Stage EX with 88keys. When I turn it on there's a low bassy synth-like noise looping and when I delved further & opened Sibelius whatever I notes record in they're joined by a group of C's 5 octaves under middle-C (see attached pic). Any idea how to fix this?! I'd think it was a stuck key / sensor problem if it actually was a key - keyboard's set to 0 octave shift. Thanks!

I should add that the panic button doesn't seem to help.

That's weird! Is it possible its a MIDI loop back issue? Have you tried unplugging MIDI IN on your Nord? I assume you have already tried that and it's some kind of fault :-(
Make sure you don't have one of Pablo's wireless adapters plugged in the back too I guess! ;-)
And now for something completely different...

perhaps the result of a drink spill? Sounds like something is stuck inside there. You'll want a competent tech to open it up, tear it apart to the level needed (which is quite a ways), and have a look at your Nord's innardz (technical term).

Bless,

Pablo
