RE : NSM for NSC (help?)

Post by monsterjazzlicks »

Hi folks,

Just a quick question here please if you don't mind. I looked through the forum but could not find a definite answer.

I have had to format my PC and so am in the process of REINSTALLNG all my softwares. I had the NORD SOUND MANAGER for a couple of years and so I wanted to have this tool back again. But I am not sure if the current NSM on the Nord site is the same as the one I originally downloaded in 2012? Also, COMPATABILITY-wise, it states NORD STAGE CLASSIC VERSION 4.00+.

All I know is that I have a NSC REVISION B model (ie I know know nothing about my keyboards' VERSION NUMBER!)?

Hope someone can kindly advise here please?

Many thanks in advance,

The current version of Sound Manager will be newer than the one you were using previously, but it will be fine to use it as anything that doesn't apply to the Stage Classic will simply be greyed-out and unavailable, so you will still have the same functionality as you had before.

The "Version Number" is simply the version number of your Stage's Operating System and is displayed on the screen during startup. If yours is older than 4.00 (very unlikely) you can simply download and install the latest OS from the Nord website.

Thanks RedLeo,

Thats great mate.

I have not been able to use my Nord for just over a year and so I could not recall, from memory, what is stated on the display during power-up.

And so I will simply download the NSM on the Nord website.

Ta,

Paul
