Yamaha FC7 as a rotary/sustain pedal?

Post by thebeachboys »

I was wondering if the Yamaha FC7 expression pedal could be used as a rotary/sustain pedal with the Electro 4D.

I use the Yamaha FC7 with my Electro 3 as the control pedal. It's a really durable piece of gear compared to others in it's price range. Works great as volume on the organ, and on midi channels. I'm not sure what you mean about using it as a rotary switch and/or sustain pedal, since it is a control pedal.

The short answer is no, you need a switch pedal designed for the job.
