It's interesting that the banner on the Nord website includes a picture of a Nord Modular on top of the tree. Does this have any relevance to the new instrument or I am just wishfully thinking?

I'm pretty sure we will see a Nord Electro 4D 73 SW as well (if that model doesn't already exists). But that one doesn't look like this video so my guess is that there will be several new models. The new Nord Electro is probably the same as the other Electro 4D 61 keys.

My guess is that the video is a new Stage ! I almost bought a Stage 2 the other day but decided to wait for Namm, a good decision :-)

Interesting with the new electro 73 is that the keys goes from C-C. Lets hope its the same with the new stage.

those naughty people at nord. oooh cheeky lol.

well, if it's either a new stage or maybe something interesting and new, if it's going to change my work practices for the better, I'm interested.

sadly, I've had to sell my nord drum 2 module, brand new, never used. it was to help fund a recovery of my studio after a disaster. Times are a little difficult at the moment and trying to get the sound tools needed ready is difficult without work in. Sound On Sound readers, companies and individuals have helped to recover the studio to a basic working form, still a bit to do but that's for the new year.

why don't you just tell us now what it is, so we can spend less at christmas, or in the case of a nord stage 3, it can be a late christmas present.

Sticking with my NS2. Came from Yamaha to nord and really miss polyphonic portamento. I gig with a clone wheel Hammond as well, so I don't really give a s*** about real drawbars.

NS3 for me would be;

Better layout for calling up favs (I use an iPad just now)
Patch remain
Polyphonic portamento
Multi-velocity sampling capability
More memory
Slightly lighter action on the HA88 model

And

A button that turns the HA88 board into a waterfall board for Hammond stuff. Hahahahaha
Nord Stage 2
AKAI MPC Live
Fender Rhodes
Hohner Clavinet D6
Hammond B3 (Leslie 145)
ARP 2600
Moog Model D
Yamaha Piano
Hopkinson Piano
Selmer & Yamaha Saxophones
Bach Trumpets
Crap Clarinets and Flutes

I looked closely at the teaser vid in photo negative.
Draw bars.

Large display. Looks OLED.
It has what looks like a patch number and a name
Under that it says "Sampling Page or Symphony Piano.
Under that it has what looks like a time line indicator with a center marker
Under that could be the real waveform.
It has a large control knob directly below it. Scrubbing samples?
It has another likely large control knob to the left. Multi use parameter entry?

I'm seeing the same ladder LED lights on both sides of the display. Not just the far left for CV or far right for VCO stacking.
This is most likely just repurposing LED modules and button module but for what?

There are two rows of of five buttons along the bottom that may have LED indicators in them and
are different shades when lit.

The keyboard to the right almost looks like another keyboard keys first against the front of a module.
There is too much space between the back of the black keys and the body of the instrument.

Hmm. Latest B3 and Leslie with drawbars.
Sampling? Wave or table with modulation?
All those buttons on the bottom?
There could be more buttons I'm not seeing but better patch selection and a step sequencer?

And is this a module? Probably not with drawbars.

Nord? You have me scratching my head on this one but it all looks good

Edited for spelling
