Yep...or a stereo DI box. I've never run in stereo while playing live so not really been a consideration for me but changing the DI box and use both outputs from the art (and an additional cable or two from the nord) would do the job.

What's the brand and model of the pedal case? It looks really nice and slim.

Its a Diago PB02:

I was restricted by the width of my stand (k&m 18880) but it's a nice fit. You just need to be careful that you've got all your measurements right. Stuff like needing angled jacks or the fact the ventilator power cable runs out the top of the wall wart whereas the art and yamaha piano run out the bottom were things I hadn't considered before putting it together. Once done its great though. Easy set up, no more chasing pedals around the floor, the sound of the vent, the flexibility of the mixer etc etc

Re: Ventilator Hook Up

Different problem:

I just bought a new Ventilator II and hooked it up to my Stage Classic to see how it would sound on Hammond Organ patches. I hooked it up to the number 3 output (mono), then stereo out of the Vent to Stereo-In to an Ashly line mixer, through to the rest of the system. Everything in the system was powered by a SurgeX Surge Protector/Line Conditioner.

Well, on powering-up the system, something caused the Nord Classic to experience a "Piano Failure" error message for the Steinway D sample (the sample that I had used before powering-down). So, I'm wondering what caused the file corruption--coincidence or is there a "spike" problem, whether static or line A/C. I've asked around, and no one I've talked to has ever heard of a Vent taking out any other piece of equipment.

I've never had a keyboard hardware or software failure like this, as I have always been very protective of the A/C coming into the equipment. So, I'm treating this as coincidence, and moving on.

Since I've always just used the Stage Classic with no updates, my questions are now:
(1.) Does it make sense to update the Operating System from version 2.16 to the most recent OS at this point? If so,
(2.) Will updating the Operating System change my User Preference Parameters and/or the location where my samples are stored?
(3.) The CD provided for the Nord Stage (classic) states: System Requirements: Windows 98SE/@00/Xp, USB Port, Minimum 1024 x 768 screen. It also states: Nord Stage Updater and Nord Stage Manager 1.12 for PC and Mac + Piano Samples. Every computer in our home is a minimum of Windows7. As technology has moved on, what is the best way to: (A.) restore the Steinway D Grand, (B.) update the Operating System, and (C.) transfer new samples from the Nord User Forum to the Stage Classic?

I'd appreciate whatever assistance you can provide.http://www.norduserforum.com/posting.ph ... b077544f7d#

Try restoring Steinway D Grand. If it does not work, format the entire section of piano.
This crash problem in piano has been analyzed in some part of the forum; has nothing to do with the ventilator and audio outputs.

Have fun with your Vent!

Huh?!!

On October 18, 2014 I posted here a problem of a "Steinway D Piano Failure" upon start-up of my Nord Stage Classic 88. I did NOT get around to restoring the Steinway D to the Stage Classic as Romelio had suggested (thanks Romelio). After many consistent "Piano Failure" messages (Steinway D) upon start-up over the last 6 weeks, three days ago, upon start-up, everything came up normal (no "Piano Failure" message) and has been operating properly since. Any thoughts as to what's going on that you'd be kind enough to share?

Sorry, no idea why you got a miraculous piano recover :) but if the problem you encountered is posted under its own thread (not in one about the Ventilator) you might receive more replies. Those without a Ventilator might not be inclined to read this thread.
Glad that it is sorted!

I would make sure that the Vent has been 'set' to all the original default settings. It might have been tweaked before you tried it. Mine works great. I have found that some patches do work better for me using the Nords rotary sim.
