NORD LEAD 4
Hello! New to the forum. New to NORD. I apologize if the the following is redundant, however I wasn't able to find information in a search. Have been messing around with my new LEAD 4 for about a week. I'm still currently using the factory program settings. Is there any section/bank for grand piano or electric piano. Maybe a Clav? Thoroughly enjoy the basses, leads, pads, arpgs, ect. just looking for some stoke grand/election piano sounds. Thanks!

Re: NORD LEAD 4
Hi and welcome,
The NL4 is a synth. It does not play samples. There will be no grand piano playing on an NL4. It will be possible to synthesize some electric piano or clav type sounds, but that's the only way for you to get what you want.
Bless,
Pablo

As pablomastadon say the NL4 is a synth so don't expect Grand Pianos. Some of the Guest Performances emulate electric pianos and clavs a bit but that is all

Hi,
You can get some good sounding Electric Piano Sounds from the NL4.
i.e. OSC1 can be set to one of six possible Piano Waveforms (P1, P2....P6), and with a bit of creative programming, and layering with OSC2. if needed, you can produce some good sounding Elec.Pianos. but don't expect to hear a Realistic Grand Piano Quality sound from a NL4 Synth.
Cheers,

Re: NORD LEAD 4
I do not own a NL4, but I guess that the FM oscillator mode is similar to that in the NS2. You might be able to use that to create e-pianos at are least similar to those that made the DX-7 famous.
