I use Sennheiser and also great. Surprisingly good bass response (I play bass). Just don't lose the factory 1/8" to 1/4" adapter because generics won't work.

I think I'll try one of the cheaper models from Shure, se215 or se315. I don't like the idea of a non-generic 1/8"-1/4" adapter.

We are using a 19"inch rack which holds monitor mixer, wireless receivers/senders, DI, drawer for some batteries etc, all the inputs/outputs (monitoring) are redirected to a front xlr bay.
This rack is always next to us on stage. Then a snake goes to the FOH. This is a duplicate branch of all the channels so the FOH guy can mix that for himself.
So once we've adjusted all our separate mixes (one for each person), we theoretically don't have to touch that anymore.

Nice rack!
This is perfect and what I am hoping to do for my soul/rnb band this summer for a bunch of shows. I want to be able to set up our mixes for 4 powered floor monitors plus 2 in ear mixes with a mix wizard 3 16:2 board but also give the FOH guy some control over what the audience hears with the house pa system. We can adjust our monitor mixes on stage but the sound guy/gal gets to control the house mix per instrument. Seems like you are doing this... correct me if im wrong.
So do you use the direct outs of the mix wizard's for each channel to get to a snake to goes to FOH? How does that work? How do you split or pass the signal for each channel through to the FOH? Have you had any problems with interfacing with different systems? Are you all using in-ears?

The A&H has 16 aux channels (16 different (mono) mixes).So do you use the direct outs of the mix wizard's for each channel to get to a snake to goes to FOH? How does that work? How do you split or pass the signal for each channel through to the FOH?

So we connect our instruments (through the pass through patch panel in the front) to the monitoring mixer.
So we can create our own mix. That mix output is also connected to a front patch bay.
So the top part of the patch panel on the front are the aux/mixes for each band member and the bottom row are the inputs (double row). There are less than 16 aux outputs there, because the other ones are directly patch from the monitoring mixer on the inside to the wireless transmitter
Yes we all use in-ear.Are you all using in-ears?
Some with a wireless receiver, some with a Fischer Amp (like me) who are not moving very much on stage.

A really sweet rig, or should I say SUH-WEEEEET! Professionally done, nicely strapped and organized and labeled. Some newer mixers even offer the additional possibility of having each musician control their own mix remotely from iPad or iPhone.
Have you figured out a talkback scenario so that you can speak with one another during shows? I'm still struggling with that...
MTier, the in-ear portion of your crew should pressure the powered floor monitor portion of your crew to convert. It's best done all or none, IMHO. Once you get rid of stage monitors you can get really clean separation on live recordings. Just let those guys try what you're hearing and how clean it can be and they'll probably be hooked!

It does go over the PA, but it doesn't bother us that much.
Once you have a good in-ear setup with your band (and yes, as pablomastodon mentioned, everybody has to be in or out in order to let this work) you are hookedMTier, the in-ear portion of your crew should pressure the powered floor monitor portion of your crew to convert. Get a nice set of in-ears. you can't return or trade these things and you'll be happy to spend 200 more dollars now than 600 total after 2 sets of bad ones and one set of 300 in ears...
It really depends on the types of gigs that you are playing. In a lot of clubs, you'll be hardpressed to get a good in ear mix that you can use. You need everyone mic'd up and mixed correctly if you are isolated in the ear world. Many times, a small club may just have a few aux mixes. My best solution for this situation is to have a small mixer to blend my keys with a room mic and a mix that FOH gives me. Most of the time it is just a duplicate of another mix that kind of works... I mix the room mic and my keys together with the house mix to get a mix of the band in my ears. It gets way way way better if you have a dedicated stereo mix for your ears and a wireless transmitter... way way way better. But thats not always in the cards for most gigs.
Get your bandmates on the same page. it'll change everything if you get more than 1 in the band with in ears.
