Hi!
Since all Nord keyboards have MIDI are they compatible with iPad and can act as controllers.
What i know ... and do ... (Lead 2X is my Neo-Soul Keys controller, etc)
But what exactly are you planning to do?

NE3HP, NP88, NS2, DPP1, NL2X, NL2X, NLA1, NL4, NE5D, NW2 (Collect Them All?), some classic Rolands, Arturias, a Waldorf, a Kurz, a WONOK3, a pile of guitars, a P-bass, loopers, amps and computers ...

im planning to use some ipad aps like neo-soul keys with a nord lead2x like you do
so you just plug the iPad Lightning to USB Camera Adapter to your nord and use the nord also as a controller? or i must have also an audio interface? how do you do it? sorry i am a new ipad user:)( i have ipad mini retina btw if that makes any difference)

Hi pianoman0018
It depends: the newer Nord keyboards have MIDI over USB, for those you can use the Camera Connection kit and just hook them to the ipad via USB
Older models, such as Nord Stage classic/EX, only have standard MIDI DIN (USB being used only for data transfer), in that case you need a Midi interface for iPad such as iRig MIDI or iMX-1 or an iPad dock with MIDI DIN

Re: NORD KEYBOARD AND IPAD
Hi again Pianoman!
I use an iRig MIDI as adapter (left) for my old 30 pin iPad 2. Connects to my L2X with 5-pin DIN, old school MIDI (out).
Then I take out the audio to my mixer with the white cable (right) ...
It just works!
And the sound is just awesome IMHO!
Since you have a newer iPad you will need to select an adapter with Lightning connector, but else similar to the iRig MIDI.
