Hi,
It would be super-cool if I could use the Impulse Morph feature in the NL4 to enable/disable any combination of parts (A,B,C,D) , basically to mute, and un-mute specific combinations of Parts, when in Performance Mode.
At this time, the Impulse Morph does not seem to be able to do this. So, it would be a cool, and useful feature to have this functionality via a future OS Update from Clavia.

Use the gain control to zero the output?

Yes, zeroing gain works well for that...the only slight issue is that if you part you're trying to mute has long release tails and/or has long delay on it, it will take a moment or two for the "mute" to be absolute.
