Rack 2x new user questions

Hi

I'm beginner in electronic music and music equipment. Please help me with my questions.

I buy Nord Rack 2x and want to buy Novation Bass Station 2(or AKAI MAX49) and Motu 828x.

1) I want use BS2 as synth and also as keyboard for R2x. Its good idea or you reccomend to buy separate midi keyboard?
2) How to correctly connect all these equipment together? Do I need additional midi interface?
3) On BS2 only one main out with single jack, on R2x four outs.. Do I need to connect all four outputs from Rack 2x to soundcard? For what use they made four outputs?

Quick answer, BS2 would work as controller for 2x if you are happy with the limited number of keys. 828x has a single midi in/out port and you would have TWO midi devices. Problem! This can be got around if one of the devices has a midi thru port - the 2x doesn't not sure about the BS2 but it may handle midi over its USB port which would solve the problem. The 2x has 4 audio outs but you don't have to use them all unless you wish to record or process the 4 different slots separately at the same time. Your 828x has many inputs for audio so it can handle this.

I plan to connect R2x to soundcard with two cables and have stereo signal
but what about BS2? its have only one mono output.. how to make stereo?

Does the BS2 not send aftertouch via midi? I know it does indeed have an aftertouch keyboard, which can be assigned to a variety of parameters within the synth.

The Bass Station 2 sends aftertouch via MIDI just fine. I find the small sequencer in it handy for tweaking sounds; set up a small sequence, connect MIDI out to my Rack 3 and tweak away on the Nord.
