ENCODER FOR NORD STAGE 2
The piano encoder from my nord stage is not working well....
I have a friend pro-tech and I decided to change it.
Going on the internet I founded a guy looking for encoder for G modular.....and the code was the same of my nord's one 03158-09701 Rev A
that means maybe that this one on this link (given as a spare part for nord modular) is good for nord stage 2 as well??

Re: ENCODER FOR NORD STAGE 2
This is perhaps the other guy looking for the encoder for the Modular.
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-50251.html
According to that thread. the encoder is:
Bourns
03158-09701 Rev A C5
THL-55
ECW1D-C24-SE0049L <--- this seems to be the product name
MEXICO 0617X
But as that guy also found out, there does not seem to be an "SE0049L" in the datasheets.
Is this "compatible"?
http://www.digikey.co.uk/product-detail ... ND/2537978
The NS2 has 24 stops per revolution of the encoder.
Please let us know how you resolve this; it is always useful to know.

Re: ENCODER FOR NORD STAGE 2
The one you linked on Digikey looks just like it might work. If the contacts on the encoder don't completely line up, that could easily be fixed.

Then you'd better contact the official Nord assistance in Italy (LEMI) and ask them to get you onefabiokey wrote:Actually this one from Digikey LOOKS LIKE is ok.....but I'd prefer something which is selled AS a nord stage encoder....

(But I guess... they will probably buy that Bourne from Digikey

Re: ENCODER FOR NORD STAGE 2
The Syntaur appears to have a cylindrical slotted shaft (type B) and the Full Compass one is "flatted" on one side (type C).
I guess that you need the latter, but check the shape in the encoder knob to make sure.
You might be able to cut a flat side off the plastic shaft, but that Syntaur one is more expensive anyway, so I would make sure before deciding.
