I'm 99% sure I'm going to get the Lead 4R (I already have a controller for keys). Just have a couple of questions before I go ahead and hoping you can help
I like and Arp, which is one of the big turn ons for me.
Either I'm blind, or I couldn't see a swing function? Does the 4R have one or is swing built into some of the patterns that it comes with?
Also, and apologies for my lack of knowledge here (I have been a soft synth user to date), can I use the arpeggiator on my software synths too?
I would like to use the patterns in conjunction with my midi keyboard - controlling my soft synths (when not using the Lead 4 itself!)
The NL4 does not have a separate control for dialing in variable swing amount in its arpeggiator; this functionality is provided for as you suggest in the available patterns. Also, the arpeggiator does not transmit midi data, which means that it is not possible to use it to play external instruments, either hardware or software.
