Hello.
This is My first post. I got a Nord Lead 2x recently. Really Loving it !!
Today when I tried to turn it on. It came on, Led's came on for a second, the screen said 1.00 and then went blank. everything was unresponsive. I turned it off and then on again. The same thing happened a few times. I checked the power cable, and it seemed fine.
I googled the issue and found a post on this , on the Nord website
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?t ... tid=#faq34
It says that incase the Nord is receiving midi at the time of booting, it has known , start up issues.
I think that My DAW was sending midi data, as My current project was playing at the time. I tried it again to verify and faced the same start up issue. It seemed to work fine when I made sure no midi was being sent. So I think that confirms the issue I was facing.
After all that, My question is
DOes the Nord display a different sequence of LED's and screen, each time it starts up ?
Everytime I power it on, The Led's and screen have a slightly different boot sequence.
Is this normal or does it mean there is some issue with booting the synth ?
Thank You
Booting on Nord Lead 2x

Re: Booting on Nord Lead 2x
My NordLead 2 also hangs during startup if MIDI data is being sent to it, amazing that they have not fixed this before releasing the 2X, it seems like something fairly basic is amiss.
As for which LEDs are illumated during the first half second or so after power on, I'm convinced the processor in the machine is being held in reset during this time, so the selection of which LEDs are illuminated is completely random, at least that's how it appears on the 2.
