Re: Verbindung zu iMac mit Mountain Lion Software
Nord Lead 2X has only 5-pin-DIN-MIDI connections. No USB. So you will need an USB<->5-pin-DIN adapter. Not so expensive.
Then I have not found any useful/fun software to play with. I have OS X and Linux computers.
But I have triggered the arpeggio from Logic Pro 9 (DAW). Works fine. Also, you should be able to play "MIDI songs".
It's also good to install some kind of MIDI monitoring program.
Anyhow I LOVE my NL2X.

NE3HP, NP88, NS2, DPP1, NL2X, NL2X, NLA1, NL4, NE5D, NW2 (Collect Them All?), some classic Rolands, Arturias, a Waldorf, a Kurz, a WONOK3, a pile of guitars, a P-bass, loopers, amps and computers ...

Hallo Friedemann.
Wout

Re: Verbindung zu iMac mit Mountain Lion Software
I use a fairly cheap MIDI-over-USB cable (E-mu XMidi 1X1 Tab, cost me 25 euro) in combination with a free OSX software program called SysEx Librarian to archive patches on my Nord Lead 3 and to restore them when I've changed/deleted them on my Lead 3.
That works fine for me. As mentioned by Marlowes and Wout, you need a MIDI interface for your Mac - perhaps you already have one if you have an external audio interface. If not, getting one of those MIDI USB cables (such as the one I mentioned above). The following one is pretty cheap, but I don't have any experience with it. Personally I'd get one from a decent brand (M-Audio, E-mu, Roland, MOTU, iConnect, ESI) and not some cheap Chinese copy, although they will probably work fine.
