I'm currently using an antique Yamaha P120 Roland FP4.
Even though I really like the newer fazoli piano,
It would be great to see Nord update some of the electric pianos.
The almost constant barrage of new synthesizer sounds
that are not requested is not understandable.

Samples of synths baffles me. Hardware synths have never been more abundant or cheap - even real analog. I can't comprehend having just a selection of sounds and also not being able to manipulate them properly in real time.

I have the same problem with string machines as samples - it's wrong! Instead Nord should use the organ type model, give it an adjustable AD envelope and put it through a rich chorus (try it with the Farfisa - no envelope but the sound is very close. I suspect the RME piano could also be covered as a variant of the Organ model.

Although I would also like to see some new Rhodes samples, having the sounds of strange gear that is virtually impossible to get (20 Hounds ever made?) is interesting too.
As we can see from the blurb in the Nord site, it seems that somebody else provided those samples and therefore it does not seem reasonable to blame Nord for sharing those samples with the user base.

It is nice that the sounds are available if you want them and it's probably the best way of archiving them for the future. But I for one don't get any mileage from sampled synths.

Personally, I don't think you'll ever have a totally convincing Rhodes in sample form. Maybe it's beyond sampling?

Physical modelling has to be the way forward. This business of trying to cover the nuances of complex sounds by having giga upon gigabytes of samples is lunacy.

Ok, so I don't like sampling! Actually, I think it works well enough for acoustic piano in many cases. But there's a reason the best clonewheels aren't sampled. Thankfully it's now becoming apparent to some manufactures that it isn't impossible to reproduce an analog synth - you do it by making an analog synth!

Some info on the Hound here and what looks like a link to a zip archive but I haven't checked it out...

I think synth samples are a great addition to the library, but I think the way it is being done isn't ideal for my purposes at least. The Nord keyboards are designed to be live performance instruments and I would venture the vast majority of us play in cover bands. I would love to see Nord create a series of synth samples that specifically copy the sounds used in some of the most popular songs of the 70's and 80's. I know there are some of those in the library in this forum but, with all due respect, Nord probably has a room full of all the vintage synths and the best sampling equipment...very few of us have access to that or frankly the skill to create these in a quality fashion. In the Electro forum, someone was looking for the sound for the intro to Whitesnake's "Here I go Again" which is a layered, multi synth sound. You could spend hours hunting through all the synth samples posted in the library and still not find something even reasonably close. How about it?
