NS2 SW73 Keyboard stand?
I really like the Nord "retro legs" (Nord Keyboard Stand EX). But I have a SW73, so the stand won't work. Does anyone know how I can come closer to this look? I already have one of these (On-Stage KS7150, see picture). But it's so ugly compared to the clean lines of the Nord retro legs.

Hello Keyman27,
I have a couple of possibilities depending on how crafty you want to be....
One is member Jazzfer's idea found in this thread:
http://www.norduserforum.com/nord-elect ... html#p4523
The other is to attach the stand ex kit to a plank of wood and make a stand out of it...
my 2 centavos worth.
Cheers, Hanon
btw,
this ham-handed photo chop is exactly why I'm not participating in the Header Graphic Design Contest:

Re: NS2 SW73 Keyboard stand?
Wow, the Jazzfer solution is nice, but too gutsy for me to try it on a $3600 instrument. The wood plank sounds like a better plan. I could use Wurlitzer threads and legs, maybe.

I'm very impressed with Jazzfer's mechanical skills "skeelz".keyman27 wrote:Wow, the Jazzfer solution is nice, but too gutsy for me to try it on a $3600 instrument. The wood plank sounds like a better plan. I could use Wurlitzer threads and legs, maybe.
I took a look on e8ay and found the wurly legs for $119 and the legs flange kit for $72.
The combination of those prices puts you up to the Stand Ex price though.
Whatever you choose to do, please post back with pics.
Cheers, Hanon

Re: NS2 SW73 Keyboard stand?
How about the newest "Nord" 2 tiered keyboard stand.
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/9 ... Stand.html
Is it a Nord product? Is it any good?
There's very little info on it on the net.
Thanks

I think that is actually a quiklok stand. In Europe there are some places that have them in red.amgems22 wrote:How about the newest "Nord" 2 tiered keyboard stand.

Re: NS2 SW73 Keyboard stand?
I use and really like the design and build quality of the K&M Table Style stage piano stand 18953. It is a wider, fixed width stand. They also sell a similar one with adjustable width, but it doesn't get as low in height. Great product, and smaller footprint than the Nord stand with even greater rock solid stability.
If you think you might want a second tier board or any of their other useful optional accessories for the stand, I would recommend ordering them at the same time as the stand. I've found that this company, as well as the other European companies I've dealt with over the past year (including Nord) can take many months to ship some of their product orders to distributors. It's very frustrating!

I'm also very interested in this. I am surprised that Clavia didn't make compatible keyboard stands for the Nord Stage 2 SW73. It's such a shame! I really need a cool looking stand for gigging with my lightweight SW73.

Any chance you can make a picture with your stage with this particular stand?Hambone wrote:I use and really like the design and build quality of the K&M Table Style stage piano stand 18953. Check out the K&M Baby Spider Pro 18840. Compact, looks good, no extra pieces:patrickdafunk wrote:I'm also very interested in this.
