Dear Nord Forum-
I'm a new forum user and do not yet own my first Nord keyboard; but I'm hoping to purchase soon.
I have a Korg SV-1 88 weighted keyboard and love it for electric piano and the tube distortion.
It is heavy and the build quality on the bottom especially (particle board) doesn't compare to the Nord's all-metal bottom.
The organ sounds also can't compare to Nord for ease of control. I want to stack a Nord above my SV-1.
Yesterday I played a Nord Electro 3 61 and Nord Piano 88, and I was really impressed!
I am debating between an: Electro 4D (only 5 octaves; love the drawbars)
Electro 4 SW73 (new organ engine! No Drawbars; great # of keys)
Stage 2 (fabulous capacity; not the latest organ engine; no drawbars).
I wish that there were a Stage3 with Drawbars and the latest organ.
OR: an Electro 4 SW73 with Drawbars.
For my purposes of stacking a great organ above my weighted electric piano (korg) could you offer me any advice?
Since I already have a weighted piano (SV1) I think that a waterfall keyboard might be great above it.
Would you recommend the 4D, 4SW73, or Stage2?
Thanks so much

For the sake of being impartial, have you looked at the Hammond SK1? What's your budget? Do you want synths? layers?
When I was in the market for a new weighted board, I looked at the Korg SV1 but then completely up-sold myself to the Stage 2 instead on the basis that I could just use the one board for most gigs. I take a second manual for some gigs where I absolutely need a semi weighted action as well but for the most part I can play fast lines on the weighted board (or alter lines to suit).

I think that if you only want the organ sounds (not the synth), then buy the NE4D. If you also want some of the piano/eps, then perhaps 73 keys is better. If you also need good synth sound or more than one sound at a time, then go for Nord Stage 2.
