This 'unofficial' Forum is dedicated to the Clavia Nord Keyboards, including the Nord Stage, Nord Electro and Nord Piano. Discuss any issues around Nord's keyboards, share your favorite patches, samples, and music. We are not affiliated with Clavia!
Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.
Well, I tried to get some more info...
It is april fool, I know, but Clavia always has a lot of humor (clever people have humor!) in its communication: "See you at the Messe, more will be revealed there . I am not prepared to reveal anything apart from the color."
The Lead will be in production for 20 years next 2015. Clavia allready broke the record for 'longest in production' and wants to make it a very hard to be broken by others; also I can imagine sales are a little slowing down at the moment, so it will be hard to reach by Clavia also...
Using an upgrade by introducing an allready existing feature like PhM and adding some FX will boost it up and the production will reach the finish in 2 years...
I know, it is all speculation from my part, but we know the color for sure!
The sound file has the clue with metal like sounds and feedback in long delays producing harmonics.
The question is: will a Nord Lead 4 include sample playback capabilities?' Would be a novum for a Lead. Or did they cramp a Modular with 95% of its editing capabilities (deems almost impossible) into a Nord Lead? Or add Granular Synthesis, AHDHSRxxx envelopes...?? Will be interesting...

Sample capabilities and the Lead is already there: the Wave.
Granular synthesis is partly possible due to the fast LFO's.
Physical Modeling was also in the Lead as the 'Hidden Synth', only prqactical useable.
I think they didn't changed the synth that much.
I wish they could just make 1 synth with everything, kind of a mix from Lead, wave and modular.
if they want to help us and make us happy, this is the way.
if they want our money, they will do the same as the electro X stage, with some stuff separated in those 2 boards.
the electro and stage should have the same thing when talking about the hammond simulation, the effects, etc.
the difference should be the synth knobs and splits, memory size....
hope they don't make a Nord Lead 4 and few months later a Nord Wave 2 with other things that they could have done in the Nord Lead 4.
You know what? they should do a Nord Wavelead, and end of story
