Midi out on C2 Bass pedals
Is any one trying to use an additional midi destination for bass pedals through a C2? My issue is that the velocity parameter for the bass pedals is fine as far as the organ is concerned, but a module chained up after the C2, using the midi out has very little volume. I went through the manual and could not find any reference to this scenario. The pedal in use are Crumar Mojo pedals, which can be touch sensitive. Connecting the pedals directly to the module give lots of volume, as does using the lower manual from the C2 on channel 3. My option at this point seems to be a midi-solutions through box. Cheers Mike
P.S I will try the Local Control On or E Setting!
P.P.S. Nope that's not it.

Re: Midi out on C2 Bass pedals
The issue is that the volume parameter is set to 1. I checked with midiox.
My board sends 64. The worksround solution is to turn off the velocity on the receiving unit if possible.

Btw I have sent Nord a mail. Good idea if you do to so it is more than one user that wants to use the Nord this way

Re: Midi out on C2 Bass pedals
Thank-you flmc59! I am trying that out. I'm not getting any where with it yet though. It seems the midi velocity is being truncated. If the C2 had a separate midi through on it, allowing a pass through, unaltered from the pedals, that would do it! I'll update if I make any headway! Thanks again Mikeflmc59 wrote:The issue is that the volume parameter is set to 1. I checked with midiox.

Re: Midi out on C2 Bass pedals
He suggested, as you did, that I monitor the midi with either midiox or snoize. I downloaded the later (mac) and will try it out tonight. The midi splitter will definitely do what I want. He was surprised however that the outboard module was getting any pedal midi through the C2 midi out at all. Thanks Mike

Re: Midi out on C2 Bass pedals
Okay I seem to have found a straight-forward solution with no extra hardware. I patched the pedals into the outboard module first, then midi through from of the module into the midi bass pedal input on the C2. It even works!
