for the record, I tried responding to PM but my response just sitting in my Outbox without being sent...? Suddenly I discover there are three such messages there....
I have an NR1 here and may find time to run through that in next day or two...but I'm not following you into pelle mode...

3 messages? not sure how that happened. I PM'd you as i didnt expect you to pick up on this thread (so quickly) sorry about that.
Pelle's mode doesn't have any effect on the synth...
It is just a piece of experimental software which has always been in the synth until it was removed developing the NL2X.
Until recently nobody knew how to open it.
Chet, is it functional on your synth?

was just a thought. Yes Pelle mode is functional on my synth, mostly just feedback noise
That's physical modeling for you...
And back in 1995 that is probably why Nordelius decided to leave it out and release the synth as is...
Which brings me to the thought: Pelle’s mode can’t be saved either, so maybe the Slot setting (Pelle’s birthday) could be the reason why Manual mode can’t be saved. The synth still is a dump computer, isn’t it? After all Clavia has DMI after its name!
Just a thought...
Probably I'm somewhat feeble of brain, but how can I save the programs as instructed in the manual?
From what the manual says you simply press store select a program number and press store again, when i do this the program number flashes but when i press for the second time nothing happens it just keeps blinking, of course if i press any other key to exit the program has not been saved.
I'm probably missing something obvious in the manual...?
