I think the concept is not so ludicrous, but the price is!! It is about 20 times more than the original Stylophone, that is quite a step up. Also I believe most people would rather buy something like a kaossilator 2 or even a Microkorg XL+ if they look for something small portable and fun.
Synths: Nord Stage 2 SW, Nord Lead 4R, Vintage Vibe 64 Active, Dave Smith Instruments Pro 2, Minimoog Voyager, Prophet 6, Korg Volcas

Speakers: EV ELXP 112-P, Event Alp 5
Well, I do not see them selling many of those...
Not long ago I sampled a Stylophone for a bit of fun (after reading a couple of people mentioning them [you Gustavo being one of them]). Something I noted is that it does not track the pitch well across the "board".

Yeah it doesn't. I personally find it somewhat hard to tune it correctly since you have a pitch knob on the back that is continuous. I find it is more of a fun toy to play simple melodies than a true instrument. There are mobile apps that are more fun and easier to use professionally (my favorite is morphwiz) and if you already have a smartphone that is way cheaper. The stylophone I have I got it as some kind of promotion over at NovaMusik when I bought my Kaossilator Pro (which got fried recently) it was something like for $10 extra you get a t-shirt, some cables and a Stylophone.
Now back on the NAMM topic, I found that the only interesting things were from KORG and possibly the Casio Privia PX-5S (due to the cost mainly). As I already stated, I am a very big fan of the MS-20, I even got the Monotron and the Monotribe because they are based on parts of it. So when I saw the MS-20 Mini being released I was like "omg, they will possibly over price it like Moog", then I saw the $600 USD price and I immediatly grabbed my credit card, went to sweetwater.com and pre-ordered it. Also, the King Korg looks rather interesting, looking forward to trying one out since I dig the sound of my Microkorg XL+.

Definitely! missed to list that one. Although pretty cool the price is somwhat restrictive to me, so because of that I am not very interested in it in the near future. Most likely I'll see myself buying and selling some synths (buying stuff under $1500) for the next 5 years using the NS2 SW as my main rig.

I could only dream it is a new C2s all the bells and whistles of the C2 piano and a synth section that would blow everyone out of the water! Yea I know but that sure would be killer!
