I'm using Sound Manager for the first time in a year, and trying the right-click option, "Select In Instrument." According to the manual, that should make the sound I've chosen "instantly accessible" on my NS2. I assumed that meant I could play that sound immediately, although that's not the case. Am I doing something wrong, or did I misinterpret the manual?
What I'm trying to do is play the sounds I've downloaded (to my hard drive) to see if I WANT to store them in my NS2. Is that possible, or do I have to load them into memory first?

Re: QUICK HELP w/"Select In Instrument"
Not quite. Sound manager selects sounds already uploaded to your NS2 and allows you to play it. Yes, it would be useful to be able to audition a sound before uploading. Sound Manager and Sample Editor aren't the best pieces of software around, but they're getting better from the first versions.
