ordered tripple pedal, what to do with old pedal?
So I decided to splurge on a triple pedal for my NS2, and I'm wondering, can the sustain pedal that originally came with the keyboard be used for something else? organ swell or something else?

You could use it for switching Rotor-Speed of the Organ Module.

That's the same input as for the 'latch' pedal, right?magic_dillitzer wrote:You could use it for switching Rotor-Speed of the Organ Module.

Right, is the one near the MIDI ports and I would have made the same suggestion as magic_dillitzer.mjbrands wrote:That's the same input as for the 'latch' pedal, right?magic_dillitzer wrote:You could use it for switching Rotor-Speed of the Organ Module.
The Triple pedal provides the Sustain (Forte) + Sostenuto (Latch) + "Una Nota" (Onestring) functions, so you still need another pedal if you wish to control the RotarySpeed
(unless you hard-modify the triple pedal as someone in this forum has done, see here http://www.norduserforum.com/nord-stage ... tml#p10078

Ditto magic_dillitzer and maxpiano - I use my old sustain pedal as a rotary speed controller and it performs admerably. Unfortunately you can't really use it for organ swell or morfing as those two inputs expect an expression/volume pedal which can send a range of values; the Nord sustain pedal is only of the primitive on/off type. That said, spare pedals are always handy in case your main one fails, so even if you never intend to use the organ rotor I'd keep it around for a rainy day.
