problem loading patches

hi

i am trying to load my patches into my nord lead 3 and i am getting this message

send dump ignored

enable rcv mode

does anyone know how to enable the recieve mode so i can install my patches as i have deleted a few banks off my nord and cant seem to replave them

Make sure it is set to the right MIDI channel (page 120 of the manual), but you probably already have this set up correctly. Page 126 describes setting up the NL3 for receiving a complete bank in one go. Notice you switch it to a special mode, in which it starts waiting for data.

To be able to receive a single program (SysEx message, will become the currently active settings but will not automatically be stored) at any time (i.e. from a sequencer just before a song starts) you might need to set MIDICtrl (page 121) to Snd&Rcv.

I don't have an NL3, but that's how I think it works. I don't think it really matters whether memory protect is on for receiving a whole bank.

thanks for this it all is starting to make sense now its bin a while since i used sysex

i managed to sort it now just need to find some more banks for trance now as the factory presets dont all suit what i am trying to do but i have heard some amazing sounds from this machine in demos etc....
