Oh definitely the classic was way softer, but it's hard to explain, the Moogs feel like you can plug them into an amp and cause some damage while the NS2, certainly capable of having an edge, still feels distant and 'safe'.. If I want to do Floyd all day, the NS2 handles that without hesitation, but if I want to hang with the guitarists in my band shredding arpeggios, the Moogs get called in..
I almost bought a used Tribute Edition LP to go along with my signature Voyager, but I decided to just get a regular old LP so that I didn't feel so bad gigging with it. Every time I took the Voyager out for a gig I'd feel nervous. Not so with the LP. Mine was $800, and for that I don't feel so bad smacking it around a little (carefully )
