I just saw today that Clavia released an updated OS for the NE3. Moreover, the Soundmanager for the Electro has been updated and the information on http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?tm=Home including said
Upcoming updates of the Nord Wave and Nord Stage OS will also become Nord Sound Manager compatible.
On the other hand, just received an email from a Clavia's Product Manager definitively denying the possibility of integrating the Nord Wave capacity of the NE3 into the existing Nord Stages...
Anyway we'll see what Nord is doing.
cheers

Hello, I'm new here. I currently own a Stage EX 76.
My intention was to pickup the best sounding virtual electro mechanical instrument possible.
I don't care so much for sample playback, but I would prefer if the Stage EX had the C1 organ engine.
Because I'm considering downgrading to Electro3, I actually phoned Clavia Sweden yesterday.
They specifically told me the Stage EX will NOT get Sample Playback, and will NOT get C1 engine either.
I said, 'but the Stage EX can load other instruments like Harpsichord. How come Clavia can't make the Mellotron sounds downloadable for the Stage?' To which they answered 'because the Mellotron and other sounds are all wav and not Stage format.'
(So unless Clavia themselves convert these to .npno format...)
Interesting note is that a few hours later, the C2 appeared on their website. On the phone earlier they only said the C1 will not be put into the Stage EX because the Stage is already 'maxed out'.
So what do you guys think? The moment I downgrade to NE3 they're gonna bring all these features to the Stage EX?

It's interesting... So I think, wavs could be convert to .npno.
I hope Clavia make a converting software for this option. Of course it is an uncomfortable thing, but would be fantastic.
Or maybe Clavia doesn't want the Nord Stage's sampling option... Because of their marketing politics... :(
