Since some week our band rehearses with in ears instead of a PA system. Now I notice that my sounds between the Nord Stage 3 and Yamaha Montage and in general overall sounds al not balanced well.
How do you balance your sounds and keyboards in your band? Do you use only your ears or do you also use hardware? My other question is if you use a volume pedal?
Thanks

Re: Leveling sounds
I try not to adjust volume levels during a set. So I don't use a volume pedal. Sometimes for a fade out, I assign a morph and use the expression pedal.
To keep levels well balanced, I use all my synths with their volume set to '3 o'clock' and then balance individual programs on each of the keyboards (using the per program SOUND adjustment on the Stage 4 - other brands might call it something else like LEVEL) so that my mixer peaks at the same level (I use +6dBu) in the studio when I am practicing and programming. In rehearsals I balance the keyboard levels slightly to taste for each song. When the sound check is done live, the levels should then be pretty good all night... Works for me anyway!
