Hi Johannes, just to confirm, I read the forum rules, and can't see any of them that have broken. If you want to be more specific of where I broke them, then please let me know. I an often guilty of not reading questions carefully, so often find it best to read them multiple times and ask questions. If you think that advice if offensive then you can block me from posting, but still would request read and download access.Johannes wrote: Yesterday, 22:25 23nnxt.jpg
Dear Dan/OP,
Please respect the overall forum netiquette and esp. Also the 10 forum rules of this forums.
No need to complain about users possible understanding your question differently.
People are just trying to help, and we try to keep this a friendly place out there.
Thanks a lot,
Johannes

Hello,
I don’t think this is about breaking the forum rules. Johannes mentioned netiquette, which basically means being polite and friendly, and not being offensive or demanding.
The point here is to ask others for advice in a friendly manner and wait to see if anyone can help, whether fully or partially. If not, or if someone has misunderstood something, this should still be recognised as an attempt to provide support, and one should not accuse anyone of not having read something properly or of not having given the expected answers. This is a forum of volunteers who have built a great community to share experiences and help one another. It is not a service centre where someone asks a question and others are obliged to provide full and comprehensive support; therefore, questions should be asked in a friendly manner, not in a demanding one.
A long story and explanation, but sometimes it’s worth understanding why and what we’re here for

I guess I can only understand that when I wrote "I didn't think my question was so hard to understand" someone could misinterpret, but was more an exclamation from myself. In addition, I took the time to explain about such programs were standard in older synths, and I am taking the time to explain of this you as well. I am not treating it like a service centre, only trying to clarify when someone clearly misunderstands the question poised. I never demanded anything. You write this where can share your experience, wasn't I sharing mine? Given the amount harassment I have received from you and other admins I definitely will be reluctant to post here again. Quite honestly I don't know what the word "netiquette" is, but if it is different than the forum rules which I haven't broken, you should write an explicit description. I wasn't "accusing someone" of misreading something, I was stating a fact in the case where I wrote that, as I was the one that wrote the question, and could tell they didn't understand. What is so offensive about that? Isn't that being friendly to correct them?Schorsch wrote: Today, 19:42 Hello,

It seems you read all my replies as offensive even when I wrote "thank you" in them. I guess can also be taken as offensive.
But thanks for this lecture, and it has convinced me I would be better creating the program I want myself.

Re: Wanted: Solo violin and cello programs with pure tone samples and vibrato only with mod wheel or aftertouch
Hello,
It’s the tone that makes the music, but I admit that misunderstandings can certainly arise when you’re just writing to each other – whether on a forum, via instant messaging or wherever. If you can’t see the other person and, above all, don’t know them, you probably won’t know what was meant. That’s why we all need to remember to think about possible interpretations when writing – I know that I sometimes fall into this trap myself.
Regarding the meaning of “Netiquette”:
Netiquette (short for “internet etiquette”) means the set of polite and respectful rules people follow when communicating online.
It’s basically about behaving well on the internet, just like you would in real life.
Some simple examples of netiquette:
* Being respectful and not insulting others
* Avoiding typing in ALL CAPS (which can seem like shouting)
* Not spreading false information
* Respecting people’s privacy
* Thinking before you post or comment
In short, netiquette is good manners for online communication.
