Expressionpedal Total Volumen

Post by KPSCH »

I'd like to control the total volume of the NS3.
Is that possible, and how do I configure it?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

yes you can do that, it's written in the manual on page 55 (english manual version), but there is a limitation. You must connect the expression pedal to the Organ Swell pedal connector, and then change the setting for teh swell pedal in the system menu to Volume. By doing this you cannot use it any longer for Organ Swell specifically though.

If you want to keep an extra swell pedal, a stereo volume pedal in the output would be one way to go. Something like a Boss FV-500L.

The other option would be to set the control pedal to be used for morphing and swell at the same time (s. p. 54 in the English manual) and the swell pedal as a volume pedal (as Schorsch described).

I didn't go either way but only use the control pedal for volume changes within a certain range for each program individually (morphing). The rest is finger work (turn the master volume knob).
