You have some great patches, yes that will help!
Question on the first Cory Henry lead, the tone quality is good but the attack seems off to me, almost like it was a sample. I had a very similar sound to this on the Sub37 and Prophet6 I have owned before and the transition between notes was smooth, there wasn't that strong click at the start. Is this removeable on the Nord or is it just how that synth engine behaves?
The pedal steel and analog brass patches are fantastic.

Alternatively I could post 1 or 2 clips of the patches from the other synths I owned with instructions on how to create them, if someone is willing and can record a clip of how they sound on the Nord. They are very simple.

Thank you Tsss27. I never noticed the click, but that could easily be taken care of in the program. The overall tone could be muted a little more as well to be closer to the sound used in the Cory Henry video. Overall I've found the Stage 3 to be very flexible as a synth and love everything I've been able to do with it. If you want to post a couple examples, I'll like to hear what you're looking for. Take care.

Here are 2 clips. Sorry I do not have any with only the synth isolated. They are simple patches but many digital synths have trouble with them...

The lead on the Moog uses 2 waves, between a sawtooth and triangle wave. Unfortunately the clip does not show the filter wide open, but it is warmer than a pure sawtooth wave. Second wave is tuned an octave above and just slightly de-tuned so that there is not a noticeable beating between the oscillators. This variation has no filter envelope. The idea with this sound is that by mapping the filter freq to a pedal and including some resonance you have a lot of different tones that you can shift while you play.

The Prophet lead is similar but with square waves and no resonance. This does have a filter envelope, but doesn't matter too much for this example. I just want to hear how these basic patches would sound throughout the range of the filter. Modulation, glide, etc is up to you.

I've been searching for one of these in a local store to dial up various synth sounds in person but no luck so far so hopefully this works out! :)

Thanks for the mp3 examples. I won't be able to do anything soon on my Stage 3, but these are really basic sounds for the Stage 3 synth. The Stage 3 LFO would cover the fast modulations thrown in from time to time, after-touch would cover the vibrato (or the pitch bar since it's used a lot on the playing too), and the variations in the filter and resonance could be mapped to the Control Pedal to work together, or could be individually modified manually during performance. There are options available to get the affect of two oscillators almost perfectly in-tune like what you're looking for too.

I took some time yesterday morning to play around with both of these - I'll post them when I get a chance. Though both emulate the synths desired, I couldn't get the quality of the Prophet 6 pulse (square) wave on the Stage 3, partially because use of the LFO for the fast modulation effect limits the Stage 3 pulse wave to three Stage 3 pulse wave presets. To play the Stage 3 versions live would work well, but the tone is not quite there for the beginning of the Prophet 6 part. Side by side comparisons are tough. When I first got my Prophet 10, I was very disappointed with the analog strings program as I was moving from an early Prophet 5 (#0186) that had unstable chips for the oscillators that had to be auto-tuned quite often through the night, but sounded absolutely beautiful. The features of the Prophet 10 dramatically increased what I could do with the instrument, a compromise on one side but a huge leap on the another. I see the Stage 3 in a similar light - if I'm to have one keyboard, this is it.

Interesting, I will definitely be looking forward to hearing what you came up with. It is strange that none of the synth configurations allow for manual pulse width shaping. The Prophet was just using square waves, but unison was also on and that may have contributed to the tone sounding less like a pure square wave. But maybe it was not a perfect square either to start with...

The Stage 3 has the capability for pulse width adjustment however not when routing the LFO for the fast modulation effect used. When I record it, I will switch between using the full square wave and the narrower width version I used. Take care.

I knocked these out this morning on my Stage 3 76 - forgive the playing but just wanted to give you idea of each on the Stage 3. The Prophet 6 example steps through the three preset square waves to give you an idea of those when using the LFO as discussed above. The Moog example uses both synths set an octave apart and both with the same LFO settings. The control pedal is used for the filter adjustment on both. Take care.

Hi WannitBBBad!

Is there any chance you still have those patches and if so is there any chance you could attach the program files for these 2 sounds?
