Hi guys, bought a NS4C last weekend. It is an upgrade for my NE5D. Big step up
I told my wife it can do anything my NE5D + Microkorg XL can do. But I may have found one thing it can’t.
Can it do an envelope on the LFO speed? I want to make the synth sound with the slowing filter sweep as heard on the video in the link around 2:07. Can I make the LFO speed automatic slow down? I know I can do it with the morph wheel. But it would be amazing if the synth can do it for me.
Unfortunately this is not possible as the envelopes are hardwired to control oscillator pitch, filter cutoff, and amplifier level. LFO speed is morphable but the only morph sources on the NS4 are the wheel, aftertouch and control pedal.
If you really want that kind of sound, you could always create it on another synth, sample it, and transfer the sample(s) to the NS4. Or sample the NS4 while manually varying the LFO.
