I was very happy at first, but it only applies on global mode, so same reverb type and level on every layers... Not so usefull finally
Big change if you just play organ, I guess...
It was the organ players who tended to prefer the reverb-before-Leslie, to kind of emulate playing the Hammond organs that had built-in spring reverbs. So I guess it is a big change for them, even if possibly in the wrong direction! But for everyone else, the ability to fade out a sound without fading out the reverb on what you had just played is a big change that will probably mostly be seen in the positive direction. (I believe that is what this feature will let you do.)
I think maybe it has to be global, because of seamless switching. There may have been no way to carry over a post-fade reverb if switching to a sound that had pre-fade reverb. For the transition period, it would have needed to be able to do both reverbs at the same time.

Good news to hear that NS4 users now can have the reverb after the rotary speaker effect.
Anyone from Nord listening here? Could you please provide the same gift to NS3 users?
Reverb is already at the end of the chain after the rotary on the NS3. Its one of the changes to the NS4 that everybody was complaining about.
On the NS2, reverb was after the Leslie but on NS3, the reverb is before the Leslie.
Regards
Yes, got it.. not really a noticeable thing in a mix unless the organ is the only thing playing and the Leslie is in fast mode, It still tails off correctly (but point taken)

For me the main advantage is that the B3 organ finally also has stereo reverbs.
Gone is that narrow and lifeless sound, it’s much better now, like night and day.
So close, and yet so far... Delay is super important too, it's still a deal breaker for me. And why not have the option of individual reverbs post volume? But at least this shows that Nord acknowledges having fumbled on this feature. They used to be so close to the field and the needs of working musicians, I can't imagine who came up with this design....

I agree, there are a lot of menu options to customize the organ sound, they could do it too to set the reverb post or pre-volume. Everyone would be happy
By the way, the reverb transition for the organ between programs doesn't work.

What boards are you thinking of that offer this?
In general, I think "why not" questions often come down to (at least) one of these two things: cost to implement (e.g. processing requirements), and (for Nords more than most other boards) an emphasis on simplicity of operation for what is most often needed (rather than on ultimate versatility). Not that I don't have my own Nord wish list!
Well, I downloaded V1.60 and unfortunately the method chosen to implement the post-fader reverb forces the user to totally lose any flexibility on different reverb types per layer. Maybe they got the message wrong, or maybe the Nord lacks the horsepower. A global option to place the reverb either pre-fader or post-fader in the Sound Menu would have allowed each layer to still use any type of reverb desired, but wouldn't be selectable on a program-by-program basis (I'm fine with that - pre-fader is useless to me). Implementing post-fader by having to choose "global" in the reverb section means one cannot have individual reverb settings per layer, and the few who like pre-fader reverb lose the global pre-fader reverb in the process.

My understanding is that this is functionally the same as what the NS3 offered (except that the Leslie is pre-reverb which is better). I am guessing Nord figured that plenty of people were happy with that for years and that this was a good compromise. There might be a DSP limitation if the platform wasn’t originally designed for this implementation.

Yes, it just might be a DSP compromise. The Stage 3 could have a different reverb on each panel which I used a lot. I've taken advantage of the additional flexibility of the Stage 4 but dealt with the unnatural cutoff of the pre-fader reverb. The current post-fader reverb solution on the Stage 4 requires identical reverb settings across all layers and can't be changed with Layer Scene II, but it's a great step in the right direction. The B3 sounds great.
