Which Nords support the Stockholm sound?

Hi I have a Stage 4 88 and love the EP9 Stockholm sound. I use it to replace piano and I use Hammond.

I am looking for something lighter to carry to practices and stuff...

Looking at the compact, or maybe other?

Money is important, so maybe a Stage 3 or Stage 2 even?

Advice kind peoples?

Electro 73 key model would be good. Assuming you aren't using the bleeps and blurps of a Stage synthesizer in your performances.

Just play acoustic, Rhodes, and Hammond, baby! (with a dash of Wurli as needed).

I would sell the NS4 88 and use the money to buy a used NS4 Compact. Use the proceeds to find a decent weighted short controller to put beneath it. Take the full rig to gigs, or only the very transportable NS4C to practices.

The NS488 is a massive beast to transport. Besides, once I switched to a 76-key weighted controller, I found I never missed the extra notes, so why carry all that bulk around?

Do you guys know if the waterfall action on ther latest is triple sensing? I found that made a big difference over older models?

WHen your looking for that Moody expression in a Rhosed sound out of a waterfall keyboard dynamics velocity brooding.

FYI: I am keeping my Stage 4, but I will also get a smaller Nord. It probably has to be waterfall to get the weight loss.

Reading the specs (available on Nord website) only the NS4 Compact has a waterfall with triple sensors at the moment, where not specified otherwise it is 2 sensors.

I do the same- A NS3compact on top with a 76 MIDI controller on the bottom. I'm using a Studiologic VMK 76. They keybed is a Fatar TP/40 (same as the Nord Pianos and possibly others). It's amazing but it weighs 40(!!) pounds due to the metal case.

Wondering if you've found a lighter 76 MIDI controller with a nice keybed? The TP/40 is great, just very hard to find.

I use a NP5 76 which weighs the same, and also doubles for acoustic piano gigs. Love the action, I just haven't found it in anything approaching "lightweight". EDIT: I should mention that I use Nord's case for the NP5, which has handles and wheels in all the right places, so I don't find transport bothersome. Besides, I can pound pretty enthusiastically when I get going
