GSi Rotary - great upgrade for NE6 organ

When I bought my NE6 in 2021 I was so pleased with updated rotary sim I sold my Neo Ventilator. Recently I did some rock gigs and the rotary was still good but it was difficult to find a sweet spot for the drive - it can get a bit fizzy.

I thought about another Vent or even using B3-x on my iPad but I really like having access to Upper/Lower sections and using the Preset feature.

I watched a demo of the GSi rotary and it was running standalone. I didn’t want to get into AUM and other AUv3 hosts so I bought it - £19.99

It does work standalone but you have no device options - that’s not a problem as it just uses the connected audio interface.

I already had a cheap Behringer UCA202 audio interface so the total cost was less than £40. Simply connect the right output, set output in the Electro System menu to Organ Right and you are good to go. Remember to turn off the internal rotary as well.

There are so many parameters you can tweak and you can save settings as presets. The drive is much better and there is a nice digital reverb in there too. So if you have a spare iPhone or iPad and an audio interface this is a great upgrade.

The drive is the thing. The E6 has enough rotary parameters to get you close to your 'ideal' Leslie sound but difficult to EQ the harshness out of the drive without losing top end.
