More Synth Presets for Nord Stage 4
More Synth Presets for Nord Stage 4
Wouldn't it make a lot of sense to offer more ready-made synth presets in the Nord Stage 4 preset library from Nord Clavia?
I think that some users are not familiar with the synth engine in depth and therefore like to fall back on ready-made presets.
What do you think about this suggestion?
Unfortunately, there are no third-party providers for special synth presets (no programs and no samples).

Where can I find user presets in Stage 4?FZiegler wrote:Did you alredy check in the Nord Stage 4 program section for user presets?
You mean the factory synth presets in the library, right?
User preset memory locations are empty.
I think the factory programs in stage 4 use the synth presets already in the library, right?

A user preset is per se a preset made by users and shared in this forum or any other forum.
One can argue that all factory presets also are user-presets, they're all made by a user/human being and not a machine (maybe by AI shortly, but that's another discussion) .
Some synths did have dedicated RAM memory for user-presets, and ROM memory for factory sounds, but this is not the case in the Nord universe.
The presets can be placed/stored where you want, there's no limitations.
For example you can relocate the bank A presets to let's say bank H, and then store whatever user-presets you want in bank A.

Sorry, this answer is kindly meant, but has no relation to the topic. I am well aware of what USER means. I am sure that this is not what FZiegler meant.

You probably didn't follow the link in my post. You'll be directed to another part of that forum.

Yes, but I‘m searching for typical synth presets not for programs
The new preset library in stage 4 is very powerful. Like a construction kit.

Why are there no new soundbanks without these data-heavy samples? You could also create new sounds with the existing factory engines and samples.
You wouldn't have to make any deletions to free up memory.

Re: More Synth Presets for Nord Stage 4
I went looking for NS4 synth presets (not samples) and couldn't find any standalone ones, but I found something perhaps better?
The Patch Foundry (https://www.patchfoundry.com/stage4) has a great set of cover band complete programs. Most song title programs have synth presets which can easily be dragged and dropped into your NS4 without using sample memory, etc. Most of them are very good copies of the sounds from the original songs, and there's a lot of them to choose from, so a good value in my eyes.
Over time, I would expect our forum members to start sharing their own programs. It's a deep engine, and takes a while to fully explore.

I think I have gear issues ....

Re: More Synth Presets for Nord Stage 4
Totally agree that the synth engine is for sure very good, but id like to have patch presets as well. exchanging samples is easy but the quality is mostly „sad“ not the power as when the synth engine is creating a patch.
