the grand and piano sounds sound muffled/unclear?
im on grand 2, is there anything im missing? the factory preset sounds are so, so muffled. even when im putting them on bright and light on the timbre setting, they sound muffled. im so confused, as i havent played a grand anywhere else so i have no idea whether its something with my keyboard or not.

Hi.
What gear do you use for monitoring tha grand? Headphones or speakers?
When using headphones, the audio should be clear and rich on nuances. If you are using speakers, there will be tons of suggestions.
Basically the Nord instruments sounds great, but the speakers needs to be on higher end of the quality-scale.

Try some different headphones, the 660s are classified as "HiFi" and maybe their impedance is too high for the NG headphone output (I read 300 Ohm in the specs, quite high)
You should get a pair of "Studio" grade heapdhones instead (e.g. Sony MDR 7506, Beyerdynamic DT770, ATH-M50X, etc...)

I see the 660s requires a plug adapter to to connect to the 1/4" (6.35mm) jack used on the Nord. Be sure to use the original Sennheiser adapter. Many forum members report difficulty using incorrect (or incorrectly connected) plug adapters. Be sure it is fully screwed on / fully inserted.
Incorrect adapters can short circuit the L-R channels together resulting in signal cancellation or a Mono listening experience.
