Drawbars für linke und rechte Hand mit Split

Post by KPSCH »

Hi

Was mache ich falsch ?

Ich würde mich freuen, wenn mir einer weiterhilft.

Hello, welcome to NUF, this international forum language is English only, so question and answers should be in English.

I will translate yours for you:

Hi
First of all, thank you for welcoming me to this forum.

I just bought a Nord Stage 3 Compact and received it today.
It's a bit more complicated to use, after having a Roland VR 730.

I play in a hobby band and now have to create various programs for our setlist.
This includes a setting that requires an organ for both hands.

I just need a split point for it.
But I can't get it to work.

What am I doing wrong?

I would appreciate it if someone could help me.

then I suggest you check carefully NS3 manual (German version here https://www.nordkeyboards.com/wt/docume ... on%20C.pdf) where Split is explained, see page 12, you are maybe skipping some steps.

Thanks for the answer,

that doesn't really help me, I looked it up in the manual.
Is it even possible to set a B3 in the left split range and a different organ setting in the right split range?

Yes of course, if you navigate the Factory Programs you'l find some examples, you have to engage both panels to do that and then assign each OrganA/B section to a different Split zone (lower A and upper B for example)

Maybe some NS3 tutorial video on Youtube may help you better? See the series from Matt Cossey for example

You do it exactly as described under „Anlegen eines Splits“ on Page 12, except:

You assign an organ to one side of the keyboard, then you switch to the other PANEL, and assign THAT organ to the other side of the keyboard.

If you’re unclear:

A Stage 3 program always (always!) has two panels, EACH with one organ, one piano, one synth, and an extern assignment, as well as effects.

So two have two or three different kinds of instruments on splits, you can put a piano in one split section, a synth in another, and an organ in the third, or across the upper two splits, or whatever.

As soon as you want two instruments of one kind — two pianos, two organs, two synths — the second one is on the second Panel, and the second Panel must be switched on (!).

Does that help?

If I remember correctly, you can't use two different organ models at the same time. If that's what you are intending to do, you'd need to use an organ sample on the synth for one of the two sections.

There's quite a number of limitations on the Nord Stages - and a number of workarounds to solve those issues.
Stage-3-C (Rev.B 2.1) - Kawai VPC1 / Viscount Legend 70s / Yamaha CP33 - Hall of Fame & NeoVent2 - Behringer Flow-8 - K&M stands 18820+18811 / 18953+18952 - Samsung Tab S5e, MobileSheetsPro & AirTurn Duo200 - QSC K8.2s / Fischer InEars

If I remember well that limit was removed on NS4 actually, but still applies to all other models like NS3.
