Case for Stage 4 (non Nord)

Post by ZeroZero »

I have to carry a lot of gear (keys, sax, guitar). I am finding the Stage 4 softcase a lot to handle. It's big and bulky it does a great job of protection, but it takes up a lot of room. I also struggle to get the board in and out - it's a wrestling match, often on the floor which is not good for an OAP.

I am in the market for something light. Something not intended to be ultra protective, but which would cover the board in the rain. I will ensure the board does not get damaged in my car and handle it carefully.

Does anyone have any suggestions please

Thomann has cheap softcases which could do the job.

Is this for the 88, or another size of the NS4? I ended up just going with the Nord case for my NS4-88 after much searching for an alternative soft/semi-rigid case that wasn't oversized. Gator had a case that was supposed to do the trick from the specs but it wasn't quite large enough.

For the Compact, I use a Yamaha YBNP76. It's a bit big for it, but it works fine. (You could always also add some added padding if you wanted to.)

Since a while I use the "Thoman Voyager Keybord 8".
My NS3 HA88 fits perfectly. I think NS4 has the same size - but please check!
As far as I know this is the best fitting and lightest bag/case you can get actually.

Since I really only need rain protection I went for this: Gator Cases Economy Gig Bag for 88 Note Keyboards GKBE-88

Can be bought for £29+ £10 postage from Andertons UK. It's good as a spare. I said above I have teh Nord case but it is bulky and huge. Does a good job, but it's a lot to have hanging around and it's a struggle to get the board in.
