Only Getting Audio on Left Side of Headphones

I know the headphones work as I've tested them in other devices but I'm only getting keyboard sound on the left side of the headphones. Any ideas why that might be and how to correct? Thanks for any help.

Are you using a headphone adapter? (1/8" to 1/4") -- very often those are the source of the problem.

Yes. The headphones came with an adapter to take 1/8 up to 1/4. I'll try headphones that don't have that.
