Strange Request...Hide the Color?
The signature red of the Nord is cool...but not ideal when the keyboard needs to be conspicuous. Anybody have any experience with any type of "cabinet" or "shell" for a Nord? There is a company that comes up on Google as "the Piano Shell Company" but I think $1400 USD is excessive (especially for something that looks like it won't be super steady on carpet). I've seen a few other "baby grand" style piano shells, but they take up too much space. Anybody have a great stand or idea here? Thanks
P.S. Somewhat related...is the Nord Grand 2 more a darker/brownish red than the Piano or Stage? That might actually solve the issue if it's not as bright...

Take a look here viewtopic.php?p=180982#p180982 or viewtopic.php?t=8326 to see what some people did to resolve " the "Nord red issue"; in case of <nord grand at least the panel is already black, so only the wooden part needs recoloring

Thanks for that. That's some dedication to wrap or paint and sand the instrument itself! I'm looking for a way to simply "hide" it's redness LOL

Re: Strange Request...Hide the Color?
There's a guy here who puts on a "dueling pianos" show that uses plastic piano shells with his slab DPs. I saw him doing a load-in ahead of a show, and thought to myself "gee, I hope he's getting paid well" as these were big bulky items getting wheeled in and out.
I was also curious as to how much one of those would go for, and the answer was "way too much".

I think I have gear issues ....

What to cover with black self-adhesive film, such as advertising stickers on cars?

Re: Strange Request...Hide the Color?
I entertained the idea of building a foldable shell in the shape of a vertical piano (or adapting an existing one from an old broken piano), but it was waaaay too much work.
In the end I built a simple C-shaped foldable frame with a few euros of materials you can find at any DIY store.
Then I applied to it a PVC banner custom-printed with our band's logo.
It looks good on stage (and it's good promotion on photos/videos), it hides the mess of cables and pedals beneath the keyboard, and you can choose any colour you like to make the keyboard less (or more!) visually conspicuous.
(sorry for the first shitty low-res pic, it's just a screenshot from a cell phone video, but it's the only one I can find right now, I hope it gives you an idea)
