2 Questions about NS4 HA73
I've owned my S4 HA73 for almost 19 months. I gig frequently and it's a great keyboard, especially for travelling (smaller size -- love it).
I also dig the extensive manual ==== however I have two questions that don't seem to be addressed in the manual -- and I've looked
Two Questions
[ 1 ]
Is there a program COMPARE or AUDITION function?
Let's say I have a program with:
Layer I as White piano w/efx & EQ that morph wheels to a Wurly also w/efx & EQ.
And Layer Scene II is set to B3.
I decide to change some of the parameters on the Wurly.
Is there a way I could toggle back and forth between the Wurly initially saved in that program, with new and unsaved in order to compare and hear the differences between the two sounds
I realize this could be done with paper & pencil , writing down the parameters for each; but that is a cumbersome method of auditioning the two sounds. A work around would be saving the changed program to live mode and toggling between live and program, however I already have my live stuff set up in configurations that I like.
[ 2 ]
I've read and tried the Monitor/Copy/Paste section on page 42 multiple times and I'm at a loss for how to do the following; and I'm not sure it can be done
I've got program G:82 setup as: Top Layer is B3, and Layer Scene II is White piano w/efx and EQ that morph wheels to a Wurly with it's effects and EQ.
Question:
what is the keystroke procedure that enables me to reverse (or swap) the layers in G:82 so Layer Scene II now becomes the B3 and the top Layer is the White Piano / Morph wheel Wurly.
I've tried to follow the SWAP two Layers within a PROGRAM directions in the manual and get nowhere. I've also looked for a video addressing the ability to swap layers within a program and haven't had much success finding one
=== thanks for any help or insight on this stuff

Re: 2 Questions about NS4 HA73
A user on another keyboard forum explained a super simple method for swapping layers within the same program.
These are the steps in case anyone is interested
1. Select the program which has the layers to be swapped
2. With layer Scene 1 selected manually turn on only the layers you want in layer 1
(after this step you should get an E next to the program name showing that you've edited it)
3. Select layer Scene II and manually turn on the layers you desire in layer II
4. Save the program in the same location
In other words, just edit the program and save it. You only need to turn on/off the proper layers with Layer Scene in the setting you want. easy peasy.

Re: 2 Questions about NS4 HA73
I don't have a Stage 4, but this could be a solution for your first question:
No, there is no Compare or Audition function. But you should be easily able to save a changed program to one of the live programs. It shouldn't be too complicated to toggle between the original and the "live" program to compare the sound. Just remember that any change on the live program will autmatically be saved. At the end, you should be able to save your changed program back to the original place.

It's the same what I meant by Live programs.
