Just got a Stage3. I have 3 weeks to get the programs gig ready.
WHERE ARE THE STRINGS? The most basic patch should be a soft string ensamble sound that can sit under a piano (swell in and out with the volume pedal). All the string sample sound like a pissed up mellotron.
Help please? Can I download any examples?

You will find a number of string samples and presets in the synth section if your NS3 is at factory loaded content, otherwise load string samples from the Nord Sound Library with the help of the Nord Sound Manager. You then can layer the synth engine sound with a piano for example, details on how to do that are explained in the manual

Just switch on the Synth section and search for a Synth preset the Strings Ens. category (in many piano factory Programs you may find that it is actually already loaded), then consider anyway that NS3 synth is mono-layer so if you expect workstation-like strings then forget it, but Nord samples are quite expressive nevertheless and serve the purpose well enough.
Btw, to do work with your NS3 effectively you should first read NS3 manual and understand at least its structure, i.e. panels and sections, what they do, then the difference between Programs (full keyboard settings/all sections) and Synth Presets (Synth section only) and how to browse them by Category. etc...
