Nord Stage 4 Keyboard stand. Junk. . Buyer beware.
Just opened the cardboard box from my Stage 4 Nord Keyboard Stand. First impressions what a piece of junk!
It's all in bits, it requires a custom allen key (not standard) and involves screwing in eight tiny black screws to the base. Try doing this on a pub gig in the dark! The legs do not support the keyboard by themselves and are not connected. There are two struts making six things to carry, plus two plates.
If I leave the plates in, this significantly raises the height of the keyboard when on my desk in my studio - not good.
There is no carrying pouch/bag so it's all in bits and cannot be carried in the cardboard box without risk of losing screws. HOw amny times have you had a gaggle of poles to carry and one slips out! If it had a soft bag that might help - but no!
Has anyone an Nord actually used a keyboard stand?
A decent keyboard stand should be one part - not eight. There should be NO looseable screws and a custom allen key should never be required. Too easy to loose stuff and much too awkward for the stage.
Really dissappointed!

If you mean a Clavia Nord keyboard stand (not some junk named similar), I can see your point, but don't share the same opinion. I don't have a Nord keyboard stand, but I think you usually know how it works before you buy it -- and of course, it's meant to be left underneath the keyboard for the rest of its life. You just need to know if you want that or not. And I don't share you opinion about hex keys either -- something I consider standard even if Ikea always provides one together with their furniture.
The reasons why I don't have a Nord keyboard stand: a) It doesn't fit the NS3C; b) it doesn't allow to attach anything, no 2nd tier, no tablet holder. But it definitely looks cool.

All of which was quite obvious from the product description and the reviews available on the net. So what's your point? I still like the optics, but did not consider buying it, for the exact reasons you mentioned above. I have several one-piece options at hand right now...

I´m changing playing sitting and standing for one or the other need and chose my stands carefully before purchasing... Reliability, weight, dimensions, built-up-time and fitting to my car are points I mentioned before buying - got an Ultimate tripod, one of these K&M foldables and a more heavy duty foldable from Stagg (that I found unexpected in a store)... I also saw this nice Nord-one, but it´s surely not desired to travel around...
... onstage since '78 on the endless (?) hunt for the perfect stage keyboard...

For me the K&M Omega Pro ticks most of your check boxes. Weight is a downside, and it does not fold as small as would like it. But it‘s stable, flexible, extendable and reliable…

The Nord Keybaord stand is built that way and so not really suitable for frequent moving (unless you leave the plates mounted and agree to spend a little more time than usual to mount/unmount the legs)
I prefer also to use generic stands and in particular, among the others, I have a Quilok WS/421 which is very similar in shape and size (and works also with the Compact

I will vote for the K&M 18880 with 18881 stacker. Lightweight, customizable, folds flat, weighs nothing and sets up in 30 seconds. Only drawback is if you have to adjust the height for sitting or standing, which I never have to do.

and if height adjustment is needed, all you have to do is replace the four bottom bolt attachments with something like these: https://amzn.to/3GiEy7O

and then you can make a height adjustment quickly too.
