Sample Library 3 Vs 4

Having gotten a few samples from the Stage 3 / Sample Library 3 for my Stage 4 to add to presets folks designed in here, it occured to me that this might be an interesting subject to explore: are there notable samples from the older Library 3 missing in Library 4 and if so...has anyone documented it?

I'm not aware of a thorough comparison, however the NSMP4 lacks some of the samples available in the NSMP and NSMP3 libraries. The latest version of Nord Sound Manager will convert all to NSMP4 format. If you find a sample in both NSMP and NSMP3 format, convert the NSMP3 version. I hope that helps, take care.

There are actually a substantial number of samples that aren't in V4 - especially synths, guitars, and strings. I went through the entirety of both libraries to find the kinds of samples I needed that were missing from the V4 set. They loaded fine to my NS4 now that they are converted. There's also the old V1 archive library if you can find it, which is a bit rougher around the edges but has some great synths.

@ Mighty Motif Max I'd be very interested in that archive and/or a bundle or even list of the missing ones as I was thinking of attempting the endeavor of finding them all but if someone has beat me too it...I'd certainly welcome the assistance.

is there any way to go in the opposite direction? there's a 6 string bass in the V4 collection I'd like to have as a V3 for my Electro 5D
