Selecting Instruments-Splits and Saving for Gigs

Post by TravelingYancho+ »

I'm a new Nord Stage 3 user. I play piano and am not as tech as I'd like to be with keyboards. I bought the Nord Stage 3 for gigs so that I could save (songs/programs- not sure what the proper naming would be) the settings, hit a button for the next song we are doing and everything would be preset. I'm trying to get the keyboard split into 3 to 4 sections with bass/piano in mid range and guitar or organ in upper. I'm having a difficult time actually doing this. I have watched countless YouTube tutorials and read the manual. For example, I can't figure out how to do this with a Les Paul guitar in the top or a certain B3 sound. I'm looking for help on step by step or maybe a video I haven't seen? I'm open to anything. I'm not looking to be creative with the sounds- the sounds in the Nord are incredible on their own- I just want to be able to save these things so in a gig i can hit a button and I'm ready to go based on the song. Help!

So you've seen lots of YT videos, but did you see this one? I'm sure you can't fail after that!
And he has lots of other free videos which helped me a lot when my NS3 was new.
